Makerbot- Reshaping the world

The introduction of 3D printing technology, as well as it’s ease of accessibility, have had monumental impacts on the state of individual and global affairs. A diversity of applications coupled with wide geographical scope pose a challenge for the image of the technology and the company behind it. Cast in the wrong light, 3D printing could be seen as a potential threat. But when the positive and productive results of 3D printing are publicly demonstrated, it leaves little question as to which outweighs the other.

In order to show just how much the positive outweighs the negative, you have to connect with people. How can you deliver a powerful message to a global audience about a topic that is both literally and figuratively reshaping the world? Our answer: video. It might not be the only method, but it’s definitely an effective one. Take a look at some of the videos we’ve created to help tell a story and influence people…

The following is a piece we filmed for CAIR as part of their PR push to initiate a dialogue of tolerance on the anniversary of 9/11. It was featured on MSNBC, FOX, CNN, the front page of Yahoo, and generated well over 1 MILLION impressions in 48 hours.

Here’s a narrative piece produced for the Bangladesh Food Security Investment Forum 2010 held in Dhaka, May 26-27, 2010. It was used to increase awareness and drive human action towards change.

This documentary highlights a Muslim woman’s journey across America. She aimed to educate and inform people about the Muslim faith, particularly the women’s issues surrounding it.

Hand Crank Films and JayRay teamed up to create a narrative piece about the life changing impacts that Overlake Hospital had on a man and his mother. The video was used as a fundraising aid and helped to raise over $500,000, exceeding their goal by over $100,000.

4 different videos that varied in length, content, distribution, and audience. What do they have in common? They all told a story. A human story. Each piece aimed to capture and maintain the attention of an audience to shed light on issues that effect people all around the world. And each piece succeeded remarkably.

You’ve got an incredible story to tell, and video is an amazingly effective way to do that. Let’s capture this piece of history together and share your story with the global audience.

Thanks for watching.
